To put it bluntly, he was ambushed.
It all began in 2013 when Peter walked on stage to a packed theatre of hundreds of exuberant young fans in the small town of Fort McLeod, Alberta, a place he’d never heard of let alone performed. He learned that a youth mentoring program called FACES had been using his music as part of their curriculum, and that his manager had already received and declined an invitation to support their programming. Undeterred, they’d filled the Empress Theatre to demonstrate the hidden impact his music had been having on their program’s participants and offer him a role in person.
We’ll never be able to book another speaker because no one will ever be able to live up to what you did for all of us. We’ll remember this for the rest of our lives.
