We are BEYOND delighted to announce that ‘Where The Light Used To Be’ has just been nominated for ‘Best Original Song’ at the 2016 Canadian Screen Awards! This is the highest award possible in Canada for Film and TV so all this to say, this was very unexpected. The song was written and performed by Peter Katz and Karen Kosowski specifically for the movie ’88’. In other good news, this award is one of the few awards that will be handed out as part of the March 13th live national broadcast on CBC Television, hosted by legendary comedian Norm Macdonald. So you’ll be able to catch Peter on the red carpet and (hopefully) see him accepting his award and/or clapping politely on national TV!
And in case you missed the song, it’s available on iTunes worldwide here:
You can also watch the scene from the movie that was just posted by film creators April Mullen and Tim Doiron.
