Hi folks,
Playing at the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts as part of the International Astronautical Congress 2014 opening ceremonies yesterday was both a professional and personal life highlight. I wanted to take a moment to share a few pics and moments with you. First of all, sending out a huge thanks to all the wonderful new people I met yesterday and the fine folks from the IAC, what a pleasure.
A few pinch me moments:
Meeting Col. Chris Hadfield backstage and having him say: “I would love to learn your songs”, then asking me to sign the CD’s I had given him, then holding the door for me. All class. He has been a huge inspiration to me.
Bill Nye The Science Guy saying ‘We’re big fans of Peter Katz’.
Watching the Cirque du Soleil performers preparing backstage, then watching them do their thing onstage.
Selling my CD’s and shaking the hands of people like Peggy Nash, Walter Natynczyk, and a long list of other delightful, passionate people from all over the world who spend their lives looking up at the stars. Felt totally inspired after all the great conversations I had.
Oh, and Buzz Aldrin walked by.
Thanks again to everyone involved, here’s a few pics, take care, P
