Hi folks!
After 4 months of non-stop touring through multiple countries and continents, I am finally home and feeling incredibly grateful for all the shows I just got to play and all the great people I got to connect with. There are so many new people who have been coming out the shows, it’s really encouraging to see.
In about 16 hrs, I’m getting on a plane and heading to the Grand Canyon for a 2 1/2 week hiking trip in the backcountry. I couldn’t be more excited to turn off for a bit and process all that’s happened. Going on extended hikes has always been my ‘reset’ button, and I think it’s long overdue for a push.
As soon as I get back (literally the next day) I go into pre-production for my next record and a new cycle begins. As with my last record, I’ll be running my ‘perk’ campaign, but I won’t get into that just yet. More than anything, I just wanted to say thanks for helping me through the past 4 months, and let you know that there’s a new record on the way (thinking late winter/early spring) as well as a live album/DVD set for release this fall. As always, there will be a steady stream of shows, and as always, I look to you for suggestions on new places to play, even possibly partnering up to put on a show in your area, city, home, camp, etc… Some of my favourite shows on this past tour were the ones in ‘bring your own venues’.
I’ll leave it there for now as I have to get packing, but you’ll be hearing from me again in a few weeks with details on how you can be involved in the process of making the next record!
