Peter Katz: Juno-nominated singer-songwriter, keynote speaker, and facilitator

Hi Folks!

So much to get through, leaving in moments!

Quick list:

– Nominated for Emerging Artist of the Year at the Canadian Folk music Awards!
– Canadian Tour coming up, filling in dates as we speak (come have me play your city/home, there are still openings)
– Netherlands/Germany/UK tours in 2011
– Introducing Sean Russell
– Video Tutorials

So first bit of very exciting news is that I recently found out that I’ve been nominated as Emerging Artist of the Year at the Canadian Folk Music Awards! I was stunned at this news, still can’t believe it. Last year’s winners were none others than the incredible Good Lovelies! (also nominated this year in the same category, my friend and awesome songstress Jadea Kelly)

Starting today, I’m touring like a fool. Not much to be said about that other than I’m darn excited to hit the road and play for you, please see dates below, up to the minute info HERE and on twitter: @peterkatzmusic New songs, old songs, in between songs, it’s going to be great. (and, if you see a hole in the schedule and want to help put on a show, host a house concert, etc. then please just drop me a line at hellopeter<at> peterkatz.com and w’ell see what we can do!)

To my Dutch, German, UK and beyond friends, I’m working on dates for the new year. Please stay tuned, plenty of shows to come!

Next up, I’m very pleased to report that I have started working with a new manager named Sean Russell. Sean has had experience working with many great acts like The Trews, Two Hours Traffic, Peter Elkas, Emma-Lee and more. He’s an incredibly hardworking man and a kind soul, I’m delighted to have him on-board. Hopefully I can have more time to focus on music, and start working on the follow-up to ‘First of the Last to Know’, stay tuned…

And finally, for all you guitar players (and aspiring guitar players) I have posted all the video tutorials for the songs from ‘First of the Last to Know’ Please click on the button right next to this. They are all multi-angle, high-res videos, with lyrics posted, all on youtube and ready for you to learn. Can’t wait to hear/see your versions (I’ve already received a few, so amazing to see!) Please just email the youtube link to hellopeter<at>peterkatz.com

That’s all for now, time to pack up, pack out, and see you out there on the open road! I’m literally leaving as soon as I hit send. and…. go!

Take care, Pete
